Do you believe that average is unacceptable?

● We never want to be average. Or even just good. That means we’re only happy when a concept, a campaign or even just a piece of copy makes us say “yeah, that’s awesome!” Our perfect creative is a perfectionist when it comes to their craft.

Are you comfortable bringing awesome to life across any channel or medium?

● We are a channel-agnostic big-idea agency but there is no getting around the fact that the world we live in demands a solid understanding of the digital ecosystem.

Are you the senior designer or senior art director we’re looking for? Are you awesome?

Requirements

Whilst being awesome doesn’t always require years of practice, we are prioritising candidates that have significant experience working in an advertising agency environment.

●  Five to six years’ experience in an art directing capacity, at least two of those years as a senior

●  A portfolio of work that is easily accessible

●  Design-related degree/diploma

●  Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.

●  The ability to work independently

●  Deadline and task-driven

●  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

●  Team player

REQUIREMENTS

●  At least 5 years as a designer in a traditional agency environment, with a minimum of one year in a position with duties similar to the one described above.

●  A design related degree or diploma, unless you’re a self-taught genius.

●  Familiarity and experience with the full Adobe design suite with expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

●  Adobe Flash, web development, HTML coding, video editing, animation, sound editing and mad barista skills are all bonus abilities that will make us stoked.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Jungle for a Senior Account Manager to share their awesome. This is a role that will allow you  to take ownership for your own brands, grow not only your digital skills, but also get involved in TTL projects.

As a member of a multi-disciplined team, the Senior Account Manager will be responsible for the following;

Client relationships

·   Day to day management of multiple client relationships

·   Working with clients on new and existing briefs

·   Identifying opportunities to cross sell and up-sell services and drive revenue targets

Project management

·   Writing briefs and ensuring that these are delivered against

·   Daily overseeing and management of projects, both internally and externally, within budgets and timelines

.      Acting as a daily escalation point for resolving project issues

.      Managing job health on Magnetic

.      Improving work processes to drive efficiency

Financial management

·   Scoping projects and managing delivery against budgets and retainers

·   Overseeing the issuing of Cost Estimates, receipt of POs, delivery of work and invoicing and payment receipting as required

.     Driving business growth through diligent financial and forecast reporting

.     Attendance of WIP meetings and resolving issues that arise out of this

Reporting

·   Interpreting insight tools

·   Completion of all monthly and campaign reporting

·   Liaising and driving third-party agencies to ensure timeous submission of reporting to client

·   Ensuring necessary reports are complete, checked and approved before being sent to client

Strategy

·   Refine and contribute to strategies that address key marketing challenges and deliver value

·   Pursue innovative solutions and ideas for clients

·   Oversight and guidance on the delivery of any strategy under the guidance of the AD

.     Translating knowledge of digital/industry developments to drive client aspirations into strategies

.     Ultimate responsibility for the delivery of any strategy in collaboration with internal team and under supervision of AD  and MD

.     Developing Digital/TTL plans, aligned with client strategy

Requirements

  • Recognised qualification in marketing, media and communications
  • Min 4 years in an account management role and familiarity with all the internal client services processes
  • Comprehensive understanding of Digital and other media channels (incl ATL and BTL), with solid understanding of the strengths of different media
  • Understand digital technologies and their application, including search, websites, social media and mobile
  • In-depth Knowledge of marketing intelligence, budgeting and financial processes
  • Understanding and skill in the planning of integrated communications

Mid to Senior Social Media Manager

Accountable for:

Championing the community and brand, feeding opinion and insight into any creative session to ensure output is on-target. Writing copy for your brands, sharing in the joy and excitement with your communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Digital and social copywriting – Research, understand, and create timely and engaging copy for your clients that is on-brand and in line with objectives and platforms for social and digital.
  • Community management – ensure that the brand’s communities are routinely and continually up to date, without a static or congested flow in either direction in terms of moderation, response, engagement, interaction, and posting.
  • Content strategy – developing content strategies for your brand, by understanding the digital and social platforms, and what content works where for your audience. 
  • Insights and analytics – Noting and evaluating performance and using it for feedback to the account manager and creative team, with input on how to improve work.
  • Brainstorming – Participation in creative sessions focused on solving problems and sharing ideas. Assisting your team and designers with new digital and social developments (in conjunction with the creative team and Head of Social Manager).

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in an agency environment.
  • A degree or a diploma in marketing, copywriting, public relations, brand strategy or journalism.
  • Outstanding English, copy-editing, proofreading, and copywriting skills.
  • Must have an extremely good eye for detail.

MEDIA STRATEGIST – DURBAN

An opportunity has arisen in our Durban Jungle for a Media Strategist with extensive experience in Digital media and a solid understanding of media across other channels.

The overall purpose of this position is to prepare digital media strategies in line with our clients’ brand strategies and  provide input and guidance on media campaigns run by other agency partners.

Reporting to the Managing Director this person will be responsible for the following:

  • Media strategy: including the preparation of media strategies, media motivations/presentations and driving innovation (including developing ongoing and tactical media strategies)

  • Media input: including reviews and guidance on media strategies prepared by other brand partners, and sharing expertise internally

  • Media lead: Manage the overall day-to-day media activity of the brands in his/her portfolio. On approval of strategies, brief media planner and/or compile campaign schedules. Oversee approval of schedules and ensure accurate buying briefs.

  • Media guidance: including media format research and upskilling,  input on ad types/formats.

  • Budgeting: Allocating budgets strategically to campaigns / media platforms and monitoring accordingly. Manage flow plans (pre, during and post campaigns).

  • KPIs: Setting, tracking / monitoring KPIs, ensuring that these are met.

  • Reporting: putting together insightful post campaign reports, including recommendations for future campaigns.

  • Processes: Developing and implementing processes and ways of working, that are conducive for growth, effectiveness and efficiency of the media function.

  • Training: Training and upskilling internal teams. Including developing decks for staff education/understanding, and format best practice.

  • A Digital Marketing Degree/Diploma

  • 3-5 years digital media planning, buying and strategy experience in an agency environment

  • Google Adwords Certification and Partner Status is a plus along with Facebook Blueprint Certification and Twitter Flight School Certification

  • Proficiency in the management and optimization, analysis and reporting across the following channels:

  • Social Media Platforms

MEDIA PLANNER/BUYER – DURBAN

opportunity has arisen in our Durban Jungle for a Media Planner/Buyer with extensive experience in Digital media and a solid understanding of media across other channels.

In line with our clients’ brand strategies, the overall purpose of this position is to plan, buy, and report on media campaigns, and provide input and guidance on media campaigns run by other agency partners.

Reporting to the Managing Director, this person will be responsible for the following:

  • Media Planning: Developing and managing digital media plans; including negotiating and purchasing media

  • Media implementation and optimization. Including implementation of media spend schedules, tracking/optimisation against KPI’s, monitoring spend and updating brand spend schedules, relationship building with channel representatives.

  • Monitoring and reporting: Monitoring and assessing ongoing campaign performance; assisting in strategic analysis of campaigns

  • Media guidance: including media format research and upskilling,  input on ad types/formats.

  • Training and upskilling: Media format research and upskilling of staff – including education/understanding, and format best practice.
